Tis the Season for White Pines!

I am LOVING the White Pines collection from CTMH so much that I will be holding a White Pines layout class on SATURDAY JANUARY 9th from 9 am to 3 pm.  There are two price points for the class and seats are filling quickly:

OPTION #1--$32 PER CROPPER includes the White Pines paper packet, complements, Red Gems, Fern Twine and extra cardstock.  The White Pines assortment is available separately for $5.95 and is used.  A Cricut mat is a must for this class since there are beautiful Cricut pieces as part of the class.

Peeps "Heart" FUNdamental Scrapbooking!

This past weekend, I had six lovely Peeps at my house learning how to scrapbook "FUNdamental Style" uisng CTMH products.  If you are wondering what this means, it is a simple style, with basic photo sizes (4x6, 3x4, 3x3, etc), no stamping and simple embellishments.

On Saturday we made three layouts using the Sangria paper packet which I then embellished with Fundamentals stickers, coordinating Sangria Complements and yes, some stamping, etc. for folks who wanted to see the whole shebang.

When I scheduled that class, I did not know about the AWESOME special CTMH would be offering....along with a FIVE LAYOUT workshop.  This month you can purchase a bundle which includes an album, Fundamentals paper packet, Fundamentals stickers and Fundamentals assortment and will receive page protectors for FREE.

Enhancing the FUN is the five layouts CTMH has designed which you can put together.  Knowing that my Peeps like to create together, I will be teaching this workshop on Saturday, 11/21 from 9am - 3pm and here is how it will work:

• Each cropper MUST have their own of the following three products: Z3126 Paper Fundamentals Enchantment Pack $19.95, Z3164 Fundamental Stickers Enchantment Pack $6.95 and Z3098 Fundamental Assortment Peacock $9.95
• Each cropper will pay a workshop fee of $5 which will include a light lunch and a full-color cutting and layout guide
• Each cropper will get instruction from me on the best way to cut their papers

This class is already halfway filled so if you wish to attend, I need to hear from you.  If you would like me to order these products for you, the deadline is 11/10/2015.

For those who love stamping and embellishing, don't worry...there are new ways coming after the holidays to teach CTMH workshops and I hope they will appeal to ALL of my Peeps.

It is official...the Peeps are heading to beautiful Ocean City Maryland in March of 2016 for a Weekend Crop event!

A Poole’s Peeps Weekend Scrapbooking Event

WHEN:  NOON Friday, March 4, 2016 – 4 PM Sunday, March 6, 2016 WHERE:  Hilton Ocean City Oceanfront Suites, Ocean City, MD PACKAGE COSTS:  $325/person double      $275/person triple                                                 $250/person quad

 

Scrapbooking Amenities:  Each cropper will be seated at their own table measuring 18-inches deep x 6-feet long.  The space under the table is yours to use as well; however, aisles may NOT be blocked at any time.  The crop room has complimentary Wi-Fi.  Other information:

·         Open drinks are not allowed in the crop space

·         No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the crop space

·         Only registered croppers are allowed in the crop space

·         Croppers can use Poole’s Peeps equipment, tools and inks with reasonable care and caution

·         Poole’s Peeps will bring a Cricut for shared use; simply bring your own mat.  NOTE—the Cricut is a convenient tool for croppers to use on their own; no one is stationed to teach/run the Cricut for you.

·         ALL Croppers must be packed up and have all of their crop items out of the room no later than 4 pm on Sunday, no exceptions! You know how long it takes you to pack up so please plan accordingly…thanks!

Who wants a Winter Weekend?

Many of you know that in my past life I held weekend crops in the winter and fall.  Recently, myself along with nine other Peeps attended my upline Tonya's Scrap Pink in Gettysburg PA.  I plan to attend that event again next year and encourage you to join us if at all possible.

Lately I've been itching to get back in the Winter Weekend game so I reached out to some location in the DE/MD resort area.  That's my fancy way of saying...at the BEACHES!

While I am not 100% ready to announce where and the costs, I hope you can trust that I am working hard to pull together the best location at a competitive price.

What I will tell you is WHEN:  MARCH 4 - 6 2016 and the WHERE:  OCEAN CITY, MD

I have room and meal pricing and just have to firm up a few things regarding the package and ask some clarifying questions.  I will also be checking with my team members to see if any of them are interested in providing this event to their customers as well.

So please be patient with me for a bit longer and I hope this photo, a view from EVERY hotel room, can entice you to choose our Winter Weekend to attend.

Wrapping up September part 2

In this quick post, I want to remind you about the National Stamping Month stamp sets.  All three sets work together well to help create simple embellishments, beautiful cards and additions to your scrapbook pages.

For an event earlier this month, I used this month's featured paper packet, Zoe and the "pocket scrapbooking" stamp set which is part of this month's special.  Excuse the quick photos I snapped on my phone but allow me to quickly walk you through how this layout came together.

I knew from the begining that I wanted to use "love & life" for the title for this page so it was an easy choice to stamp this in colors of ink which match Zoe perfectly: Sorbet, Glacier, Sweet Leaf and Whisper.

Next, I turned to Close to My Heart's Artfully Sent collection which allows anyone to make their own Picute My Life (PML) cards quickly.  A quick run of a scrap of Whisper through the machine and I had this card with the chevron arrows cut out of the bottom.  I added the scrap of blue and white chevron paper with the winter stamp and used the month and date portion of the zip strip to include the winter months on it.

I randomly cut and corner rounded different patterns of Zoe paper which will become the photo mats or will have solid paper journal boxes added to them.

Next I made two more quick cards...the Spring flower accent took less than a minute and I used a scrap to dovetail for the title.

The Love Summer accent card was cut with Glacier and has the sorbet/white dot paper behind it.  A quick stamp on a zip strip with a dovetail cut...and this was done.

So far I think I spent about 10 minutes on this layout, including loading the scraps of cardstock in and out of the Cricut.


The camera accent below is also from Glacier paper with the same Zoe paper mounted behind it...just something fun because I know this layout will be just miscellaneous photos of my family.

Next is the Autumn accent card cut by the Cricut with a zip strip dovetail addition.

At this point I just cut random pieces of printed paper from Zoe in 4x6 and 3x4 sizes and moved them around until I liked the way they looked.














And here is the finished product...15 minutes later! This album is a mixture of pocket and regular layouts...sometimes you just need something quick and fun.

Last but not least...I have a few Zoe kits remaining...all pieces are pre-cut and pre-stamped (except the summertime title as you may have a different title in mind) for just $5.  First come, first served...here's a reminder of what it looks like:

Wrapping up September!

Sneak Peeking

Those of you who have been attending workshops regularly already know that this year CTMH Home Office is making a slight change to our product release schedule.  This is great news for you as well because I am following right in their oh-so-smart footsteps!

Beginning August 1, CTMH is making available one of the newest paper collections one month EARLY.  That's right....starting tomorrow, you will be able to order some of the latest and greatest products in the CTMH Annual Inspirations Idea Book...wooo hoo!

So without further ado, I'd like to introduce you to....   ZOE!

Last but not least...

Is that chirping I hear...well that can only mean one thing...CRICUT!

Yes there is a brand NEW Cricut cartridge available NOW called Artistry ($99 retail).  And you may notice something else when you check this out on my website...CTMH Home Office has decided to package our cartridges with THREE fun stamp sets and a FULL package of cardstock.  The newest member of our Cricut family also features the newest cardstock sampler, Enchantment, full of the gorgeous colors which will be replacing our retiring favorites.

August Event Changes

I just wanted to take a minute to clear up any confusion about my August crop events.

There will be two this month:

Friday, August 14 $5 per person 7p-11p

Friday, August 28 FREE BYOS crop 7p-11p

At either crop you can bring whatever projects you may wish to work on.  At the $5 gathering on 8/14, I will be featuring Zoe, one of the newest paper packs from CTMH.  I will be teaching the Zoe WOTG that night and will have the completed WOTG on display for those who may want assistance.

I anticipate that the Home Office will get slammed this weekend which means if you think you want to work on the Zoe WOTG on 8/14, you should do your best to order it by 8/4 or 8/5 and pay the $7.95 shipping level.

Additionally, I am going to be trying something new for the next few months to see how it goes.  In this case I am going to be offering a kit for sale that matches the CTMH featured paper pack of the month.  I just finished cutting out all of the pieces and hope to have a sneak peek to show you tomorrow afternoon....
